Alexandra Whittingham is one of the most prominent classical guitarists in today’s musical landscape. She is signed exclusively to Decca Classics, with her debut album on the label, Letters from Paris, released in October 2025. Recent highlights include a performance at the Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

Having first gained international attention at the age of 16 by sharing performance videos online, Alexandra has since built a global audience, with over 100 million views on YouTube alone. Her debut album, My European Journey (2021), was described as “a superb debut” by BBC Music Magazine and celebrates her affinity for Romantic guitar repertoire. Alexandra tours regularly in the US and the UK.

Alongside regular masterclasses at conservatoires across Europe and North America, she leads workshops in schools, inspiring young people from diverse backgrounds to engage with classical music. Alexandra is an Augustine Strings artist and performs on guitars by Martin Blackwell and Christopher Dean.

The Reformierte Stadtkirche, located in the heart of Vienna, stands on the site of the former Dorothea monastery, reflecting a rich and layered history. After the reforms of Joseph II in the late 18th century, the building was granted to the Reformed (Calvinist) community, marking an important step toward religious tolerance in Austria. The church was redesigned in a refined classical style by notable architects of the period, giving it an elegant and harmonious interior. It quickly became a cultural and spiritual center for the Protestant community, known for its welcoming atmosphere and strong musical tradition. Today, the Reformierte Stadtkirche is admired not only for its historical significance but also for its architectural beauty and vibrant role in Vienna’s cultural life.
