THIS IS NOT A RECITAL reimagines the traditional piano evening from the inside. Alfredo Ovalles performs music by Paul Desenne and Leilehua Lanzilotti alongside his own works for piano and electronics, including Random Acts of Senseless Violence. Spoken text and subtle disruptions reshape the flow of the concert, dissolving clear borders between pieces. The piano remains at the center, but the ritual around it begins to shift.
